Intrinsic self-sensing concrete: composition, requirements, areas of application

<jats:p>The paper analyzes the basic principles for the design and implementation of Intrinsic Self-Sensing Concrete (ISSC). The essential requirements for the composition and technology for the production of this concrete are assessed. The sensitivity threshold values for various functional fillers are predicted and recommendations are made for the appropriate methods for homogenizing the components in the concrete mixture. Its sensory properties are analyzed, as well as the influence of various factors leading to the improvement of the sensitivity of concrete. The possibilities for the application of this type of concrete in our country are presented.</jats:p>
