Abstract

<jats:p>The new generation of Eurocodes for the structural and geotechnical design of buildings will introduce new principles and rules. The paper examines the main changes in the draft European standard prEN 1992-1-1:2021E for the design of concrete and reinforced concrete structures. A brief overview and analysis of some basic assumptions for the calculation of reinforced concrete elements are made.</jats:p>
