Abstract
<jats:p>In this article, the data in Mahmut Kashkari’s work «Dīwān Lughāt al-Turk» is compared with historical records, and the scientist’s personality is evaluated from a historical and political perspective. Examining the scientist’s life in connection with the political events of the Karakhan period, evaluating the environment in which he lived, determining his lineage and revealing human nature. The work «Dīwān Lughāt al-Turk» and Sheikh Ahmed’s «Sohaib Ali Ekber» family tree constitute the subject of the research.</jats:p>
