Abstract
This paper explores the linguo-pragmatic aspects of nonverbal communication in Uzbek and English, focusing on how gestures, facial expressions, proxemics, and paralinguistic signals shape meaning and interpretation in intercultural contexts. It demonstrates that cultural norms influence the use and understanding of nonverbal cues, often leading to pragmatic misunderstandings in cross-cultural interaction. The research highlights the crucial role of linguo-pragmatic competence in decoding nonverbal signals to achieve successful communication.
