Abstract
<jats:p>With this study, the existence of the Rifâî tariqat, which has an important place in Islamic civilization, in Anatolia in general is discussed. Then, the religious music tradition in the Rifâî sect was evaluated through the Erzurum Rifâis and its relations with other lodges were briefly mentioned. It is aimed to compare the similar and different aspects in religious music practice, to investigate their contributions to the Turkish Religious Music tradition and to transfer the data obtained to future generations. With this study, we first discussed the establishment of the Rifâî tarikat, its institutionalization process, its spread to Anatolia, its relationship with music and its musical practices. Then, we evaluated the existence of Rifâîism in Erzurum and the types of religious music performed in this region. As a result of our studies in this sense, we have determined the existence of many works that have not been notated. On this occasion, we have notated practices such as Rifâî dhikr, collective evrâd tradition, ilâhi, Ism-i celal, Nat-ı prophet, Salat-ı ümmiyye, Takbîr, Tevhîd, İlâhi, Şuğul, Gülbank, salât-ı kemâliye and İstiğfâr, which have an important place in the Religious Music tradition, and included the notes of these practices in the relevant section of the book.
