Abstract
<jats:p>The article is analyzed examples of using folk plots and individual episodes from the works of written literature as plot sources and artistic elements, which akyns and writers of the East and Kyrgyz professional literature reworked and adapted with the help of their creative imagination, creating their own works. Some plot differences and similarities of A. Osmonov's poem “Tolubai synchy” and K. Zhusubaliev's story “Tolubai sonchy” as well as emotional features of characters in separate cases are studied. In addition, the article discusses the history of the first and second versions of A. Osmonov's poem, the reasons for writing the second version, with a focus on how the poet renewed the folk oral tradition again by creating his version, and to what extent he brought new findings and influential literary legacies to the artistic word. In the story by K. Zhusubaliev also analyzes his unique style, the influence of modernist trends in European literature and the impact of the author's personal qualities on the plot of the work and the emotions of the characters.</jats:p>
