Abstract

This study analyzes the moral-ethical views of the Maturidi theological school as presented in Abul Yusr Pazdavi’s work Usul ad-Din. The work highlights aspects of doctrinal issues related to human spiritual perfection, particularly topics such as free will, responsibility, piety, justice, and the sources of moral virtues. Pazdavi’s views are significant for their deep explanation of the philosophical foundations of Islamic ethics, while continuing the classical interpretations of Maturidism. Through this work, the study reveals the place of ethics in Maturidism, the relationship between faith and action, and ideas concerning the spiritual purification of the human being.
