Abstract

<jats:p>This article analyzes the reason for writing, the scholarly and educational significance, and the structural composition of Usul al-Din, a work attributed to Abu Yusr Pazdawī. The study provides a detailed explanation of the main issues of the science of creed (‘aqīdah), the evidences of doctrinal viewpoints, and the scholarly traditions associated with them. Throughout the research, attention is given to the author’s aims and methods, revealing the work’s place in the development of medieval Islamic thought. Additionally, the chapters, thematic structure, and logical composition of Usul al-Din are examined, and its contribution to the development of fiqh, kalam, and creed sciences is evaluated on the basis of academic criteria.</jats:p>
