Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the ethical, legal, and social challenges arising from the rapid development and widespread application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. The study examines issues related to fairness in algorithmic decision-making, protection of personal data, digital inequality, and the allocation of responsibility. Particular attention is paid to the “black box” nature of AI systems, which complicates the interpretation of decisions, as well as to the risks associated with algorithmic bias. The article also highlights the growing difficulty of defining accountability as AI systems become increasingly autonomous. The conclusion argues that the future development of AI should be guided not only by technical efficiency but also by the principles of human rights, fairness, and transparency. To address these challenges, the study proposes the implementation of a human-centered governance model, international ethical standards, and algorithmic auditing mechanisms.
