Abstract

<jats:p>This article analyzes the characteristics of the use of radif in the lyric poetry of Muhammad Alikhan, the ruler of the Kokand Khanate and a talented poet, its role in shaping poetic meaning, and its artistic and aesthetic functions. Based on classical sources of poetics and modern literary theories, the study elucidates the essence of radif and reveals its semantic and stylistic potential in Muhammad Alikhan’s ghazals. Particular attention is paid to the poet’s mastery in selecting radifs, his use of repetition to enhance poetic expressiveness, and the role of radif in conveying lyrical emotions and artistic ideas. The article also examines the harmonious integration of traditional poetic principles and the poet’s individual style.</jats:p>
