Abstract
<jats:p>Policing in Indonesia remains a compelling and dynamic topic, especially considering the country’s complex multiethnic, multicultural, and geographical context. The many variables involved in police activities offer a rich perspective for research and discussion. However, English-language literature on the subject particularly from Indonesian police officers themselves remains scarce. This gap underscores the need for more works that capture insights from within the force, grounded in both practical experience and academic reflection. This edited volume seeks to address that gap by presenting a collection of writings from Indonesian police personnel who have pursued postgraduate studies abroad. Some articles, co-authored with senior officers, offer broader strategic perspectives on policing that differ from previously published works. By presenting these informed and diverse viewpoints, the book aims to stimulate constructive dialogue on policing issues in Indonesia and serve as a reference for future research in public security, social order, and law enforcement at both national and international levels.</jats:p>
