Abstract
<jats:p>The presentation titled “Social Discrimination and Its Psychological Basis” explores the nature of social discrimination, its impact on individual psychology, the underlying psychological mechanisms, and strategies to reduce its negative consequences. It discusses different types and manifestations of discrimination, as well as related psychological effects such as stress, depression, fear, and decreased self-esteem, supported by theoretical perspectives and research findings. The study emphasizes that social and psychological support play a crucial role in mitigating the adverse impacts of discrimination. Furthermore, it proposes recommendations and strategies to be implemented at the educational, policy, and individual levels. The results of this study aim to contribute to the creation of an equitable and psychologically healthy social environment.</jats:p>
