Abstract
This article analyzes the theoretical foundations of teaching the subject “Upbringing” in the general secondary education system in connection with artificial intelligence technologies. The subject “Upbringing” is an important academic discipline aimed at developing pupils’ spiritual and moral qualities, social responsibility, legal awareness, civic position, intercultural communication, and life competencies. Resolution No. 422 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 6, 2020 defines the subject “Upbringing” as a conceptual discipline that determines the structure of educational content and qualification requirements; this subject integrates a number of previous educational directions into a single system. The article interprets artificial intelligence not as a tool that replaces the teacher in the upbringing process, but as an auxiliary pedagogical instrument that helps individualize lessons, create situational tasks, activate pupils’ reflection, clarify assessment criteria, and develop skills for making ethical decisions based on real-life problems.
