Abstract

In the era of digital transformation, vocational education has become a key factor in countries' economic growth, and digital educational resources (DER) are the most important tool for improving its quality and accessibility. Over the past five years, China has achieved breakthrough results in introducing DER into vocational education, forming a system based on unified platforms, integration of artificial intelligence (AI), and cooperation between the state and business. The purpose of this article is to analyze the current state of DER application in China's vocational education, identify problems in the Kyrgyz Republic (KGZ) in this field, and determine prospects for adapting China's experience. The study uses methods of scientific literature analysis, comparative analysis, and data synthesis. The authors found that China successfully implements solutions such as the national "Smart Education of China" (SEC) platform with 1,700 professional resource databases and 80,000 virtual simulators, AI-based automatic course creation tools, and international resource exchange projects. At the same time, the KGZ faces serious shortcomings: weak digital infrastructure (37% of vocational institutions have insufficient Internet speed), low digital competence of teachers (less than 50% have received specialized training), and a lack of systematized DER meeting labor market requirements. Adapting certain elements of China's experience — in particular, the creation of a unified national DER platform, a program to improve teachers' digital literacy, and the development of university-enterprise partnerships — can contribute to the effective modernization of vocational education in the KGZ. The research results can be used by specialists of the KGZ Ministry of Education and Science, developers of educational programs, heads of vocational educational institutions, and business representatives in forming digital transformation strategies for education.
