Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Case Studies in Psychotherapy (in English)

<jats:p>This volume brings together the abstracts of presentations and workshops delivered at the 6th International Congress “Case Studies in Psychotherapy.” The materials presented reflect the current state of psychotherapy during the emergence of a new psychophysiological paradigm and demonstrate the possibilities of integrating psychotherapeutic, medical, and neurobiological knowledge in the understanding of clinical cases. On April 25–26, 2026, the 6th International Congress “Case Studies in Psychotherapy” was held in Belgrade (Serbia) and online. The congress was dedicated to the theme “Psychophysiological Integration: A New Paradigm in Psychotherapy.” The congress focused on the possibilities of psychophysiological integration in assessment, case conceptualization, and psychotherapy. Through the analysis of real clinical cases, participants explored how psychological and physiological processes influence one another, how these interactions affect diagnosis and case formulation, and what new therapeutic strategies emerge at the intersection of psychotherapy and medicine. The scientific program included presentations and workshops devoted to psychosomatics, the neurobiology of motivation and attachment, psychophysiological aspects of depression, anxiety and panic disorders, eating disorders, psychotherapy of psychosomatic patients, aesthetic surgery, family therapy, work with aggression, emotional regulation, and other relevant issues in contemporary clinical practice. Particular attention was paid to the practical applicability of the presented models and therapeutic approaches. The congress was organized by the Institute Isida (Novi Slankamen, Serbia) and the Academy of Integral Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (Moscow, Russia).</jats:p>
