CBD and Passion Flower for Anxiety: Clinical Use Considerations

<jats:p>CBD lacks evidence for anxiety disorders, and product quality is a major concern. If patients use it, screen for drug interactions and watch for additive CNS sedation. Passion flower may have a role in procedural anxiety. Stop passion flower at least two weeks before any scheduled surgery. It amplifies anesthetics and deepens sedation when combined with alcohol or benzodiazepines.</jats:p>
