Abstract
The article discusses the relationship between changes in the physical and meliorative state of the soil, its granulometric composition, and humus. It was established that in soils with a heavy mechanical composition, the soil’s water-lifting capacity and water permeability are low, while in soils with a light mechanical composition, the opposite is observed. An increase in the amount of humus improves the physical, general physical, and water-physical properties of both light-textured and heavy-textured soils. Also, a positive change in the melioration state of the soil depends on the granulometric composition and humus content, which normalizes its state.
