Abstract

The article discusses modern methods and approaches to protecting oil and gas equipment from corrosion, one of the most serious threats to its reliability and durability. Corrosion in the oil and gas industry is a destructive process that can lead to accidents, leaks and significant financial losses. The authors emphasize that combating this phenomenon requires an integrated and multifactorial approach, including both preventive measures and modern technologies. The oil and gas industry faces the problem of corrosion, which poses a serious threat to the reliability and durability of equipment. The article discusses modern approaches to protecting oil and gas equipment from corrosion, analyzing the influence of various factors on the rate of corrosion processes and the consequences that may arise as a result. The text covers key aspects of corrosion in the oil and gas industry, including: Corrosion hazards: leaks, accidents, increased operating costs and safety hazards. Modern protection strategies: corrosion inhibitors, protective coatings, cathodic protection, selection of corrosion-resistant materials and condition monitoring. Innovative developments: smart and biodegradable inhibitors, nanomaterials, automated monitoring systems and engineering solutions to optimize operating conditions. The article highlights the importance of an integrated approach combining different protection methods and the need for regular monitoring to minimize corrosive threats. The issues of biocorrosion and the influence of microorganisms on corrosion processes are also considered. Future research should pay attention to the development of technologies, including "smart" materials and systems based on artificial intelligence, which can significantly increase the effectiveness of corrosion protection. The integration of new technologies and traditional corrosion control methods in the real conditions of the oil and gas industry can improve the reliability and safety of equipment.
