Abstract

<jats:p>The article reveals the methods and forms of organizing students' educational activities, and proposes methods for improving the communicative competence of future teachers. The psychological aspects of developing constructive communication by students of the psychological and pedagogical specialty of the university play a crucial role. The author analyzes verbal and non-verbal means of communication, models and styles of communication, and their application during the educational process, which prepares students for their future professional activities. Mastering the art of communication involves developing students' oratory skills, forming public speaking skills, improving methods of team management, conducting business negotiations, resolving conflict situations, and making decisions in standard and non-standard situations. It also opens up career opportunities for young professionals. The purpose of the study is to select active methods for improving the communicative competence of future teachers and to experimentally test the results. The main objective is to analyze the content of the concept of communicative competence, identify criteria and indicators of the level of development of the communicative competence of future teachers, and experimentally test the effectiveness of active forms and methods for improving it. We have analyzed scientific and pedagogical research on the problem of developing communicative competence. In the works of scientists A.A. Leontiev, A.S. Turchin, V.I. Teslenko, V.B. Kashkin, we find various definitions of communicative competence and communicative competencies. The analysis of scientific research allowed us to define communicative competence as a set of knowledge, skills, experience in carrying out communicative actions, and the development of communication abilities. In our research, students have the opportunity to master the main functions of communicative competence: communication, interaction, and the development of non-standard solutions. The study has proven that effective development of communication skills and teamwork contribute to improving the communicative competence of future teachers.</jats:p>
