Abstract
<jats:p>The relevance of this work is determined by the fact that in order to keep pace with rapidly evolving higher education systems and to achieve a competitive higher education, smooth and localized changes are necessary, which are implemented through innovative processes. Educational innovations are aimed at improving and developing the quality of higher education, as well as serving as a stimulus for the progress of the university. University autonomy, as the most important condition ensuring innovative processes in the university management system, is a primary component of European university self-organization, which ensures the full implementation of the principles of quality management and academic freedom, contributing to the improvement of quality standards.</jats:p>
