Abstract

<jats:p>Abstract: The article examines the main types of event tourism and the methods of their classification, which allows for the systematization of diverse events, identification of their unique characteristics, and assessment of their impact on the tourism industry. Approaches proposed by leading researchers are analyzed, including thematic, scale-based, and organizational criteria used for event tourism analysis. The significance of classification is emphasized for effective planning, promotion, and organization of events, as well as for the development of tourism infrastructure and enhancement of regional attractiveness. Special attention is given to festivals, film, and music events, which play an important role in shaping tourist experiences and stimulating economic activity. International examples of major festivals, including the Edinburgh International Festival, the Winter Illumination Festival in Kuwana, Glastonbury Music Festival, as well as leading film and music festivals, are provided. The study analyzes how the systematization of events can support the development of territorial promotion strategies, attract tourists, and create unique cultural experiences. It is highlighted that classifying types of event tourism contributes to increasing the efficiency of events, improving tourism infrastructure, and creating memorable tourist experiences</jats:p>
