Abstract

The article explores the theoretical and methodological principles of strategic management of innovative development of an enterprise in a turbulent external environment. The relevance of the issue is  substantiated, due to the increasing variability and uncertainty of the business environment under the influence of globalization processes, technological shifts, digitalization of business processes, geopolitical risks and transformation of market competition, which increases the instability of market positions of enterprises and shortens the life cycles of products and technologies. It is proven that under such conditions, innovative development becomes a key condition for long-term competitiveness and survival of enterprises. The need to transition from traditional linear models of strategic planning to adaptive, scenario and risk-oriented approaches to managing innovation activities is substantiated. The key factors of turbulence in the operating environment of enterprises are identified: external (economic, technological, institutional, political and security, social and human resources, infrastructure and logistics, regulatory and market and competitive) and internal (financial resources and investment capacity, innovation potential and scientific and technological base, human resources potential and personnel competencies, organizational structure and management processes, material and technical base and state of production facilities, level of risk management and knowledge management) and their influence on the formation of strategic priorities of innovative development is substantiated. Conceptual directions for the formation of innovative development strategies of enterprises on the basis of flexibility, digitalization, open innovation, partnership and development of innovation culture as a prerequisite for increasing the adaptability of enterprises to dynamic changes in the external environment are proposed.
