Abstract
<jats:p>The Candle Mountain 7.5' quadrangle is in the Big Belt Mountains of central Montana at the southern end and immediately south of the Adel Mountain volcanic field. As part of the Montana fold-thrust belt, the map area is transected by many thrust faults and numerous associated folds. Fieldwork and initial map preparation by the author was through the U.S. Geological Survey. The Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology completed map preparation in order to make the map available to the public.</jats:p>
