Abstract
<jats:p>Education, Equity and Development: Economics of Education and Social Mobility offers a comprehensive and multidisciplinary examination of the relationships among education, economic development, equity, and social mobility. The volume explores the major challenges facing contemporary educational systems in increasingly complex social and economic environments, questioning the traditional assumption that expanding educational attainment alone is sufficient to foster development and reduce inequality.
