Abstract

<jats:p>In 1905. In October, the Constitutional Democratic Party was founded in Moscow, the purpose of which was to establish a constitutional monarchy in Russia and control the government by parliament. Along with general political freedoms for small ethnic groups that are part of the Russian Empire the Cadets promised national cultural autonomy, but generally attached secondary importance to the national question. 1917. The Armenian People's Party (NPA), founded on April 11 in Tiflis, was educated by cadets and he shared their principles in all matters except the national question. In their opinion, in the Armenian-populated regions of Transcaucasia, Armenians should receive national-territorial autonomy as a legislative body. During the period of the First Republic of Armenia after the ARF Dashnaktsutyun, the People's Party was the most powerful party. Except for a short period when he was part of a coalition government with the ARFD. The NPA had an oppositional position. After the Sovietization of Armenia, the party leaders went abroad. Later becoming part of the Ramkavar Liberal Party, the NPA ceased to exist.</jats:p>
