Abstract
<p> Food is far more than nutrition – it is a cultural symbol, an aesthetic practice, and social action. This volume brings together cultural and media studies contributions that explore food culture as a semiotic phenomenon: from aristocratic dinners to TikTok performances, from idioms to supermarkets as experiential spaces. Academic and artistic approaches enter into dialogue. The volume is aimed at cultural scholars, students, and anyone interested in the symbolic dimension of everyday life. With contributions by Lina Burkart | Natacha Dagneaud | Dolores Herbst | Nadja Hilse | Sophia Hörhold | Cornelia Reiher | Lisa Schmedkord | Marie Schröer | Foteini Topoglidou </p>
