Abstract
<p> We have a comprehensive social benefits system for rehabilitation and participation. However, its complexity does not make it easy for those involved to find their way around. The greater the support needs of people with disabilities, the more important this is for those involved: they need to keep an eye on all the options, have an overview of responsibilities, proceed in a coordinated manner and make confident decisions. This textbook helps with this: the basic section contains a compact overview of the system and its interrelationships. The practical section deals with the specific organisation of cross-agency regulations. References and further information facilitate orientation and action. Prof. Dr Helga Seel was managing director of the Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft für Rehabilitation e.V. and is an honorary professor at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. </p>
