Abstract

The anthology presents collected essays in honour of Ute Sacksofsky, a pioneer of feminist jurisprudence in Germany. The essays take her academic work as their starting point, critically examine it and develop it. The 14 contributions by renowned feminist jurists in five thematic parts deal with historically changing theoretical and legal understandings of gender, questions of reproductive justice, conditions for equal religious freedom using the example of headscarf bans, formal and material equality in voting rights, and legal methods. In keeping with Ute Sacksofsky's thinking, all contributions focus on promoting justice with law.
