Abstract

Universities of Applied Sciences for Public Administration have increasingly established themselves as academically distinguished institutions. This award, in particular, has helped to establish and highlight outstanding student achievements from these institutions. Following the establishment of a nationwide award for outstanding academic theses in 2017, the results are now traditionally published within this framework. The content included numerous theses from the field of general administration, addressing both economic and legal issues, such as challenges in working from home, work-life balance, and sustain-able industrial park development. The theses from the field of innovative policing also covered highly topical issues, such as multimedia forensics of image files, the use of restraining orders and their impact on maintaining order among problem groups, and the role of diversity within the police force.
