Abstract

<p> Much of what is happening today seems absurd. This challenges social coexistence. Theology provides conceptual frameworks that enable us to think beyond absurdity and consider the possibility of meaning. At the same time, it generates its own absurdities. It is precisely in its internal differentiation that theology can consider both. The different perspectives in this volume, published by the German section of the European Society for Catholic Theology , offer neither simple answers nor can they be reduced to a common denominator. But they show that Christian faith contributes critically, constructively and also surprisingly to society's dealing with absurdities. This Title is also Available as Open Access. </p>
