Abstract

Empirical Legal Studies in Focus: This book offers a broad overview of the current state and future perspectives of interdisciplinary legal scholarship. From constitutional, European, antitrust, and criminal law to judicial decision-making and questions of public policy advice, labor markets, and collective goods, the contributions cover a broad thematic spectrum. They demonstrate how behavioral sciences, data-driven methods, and artificial intelligence deepen and transform our understanding of the law. In doing so, the book also traces the impact of Christoph Engel, Director at the Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods. This title is also available as Open Access.
