Abstract

<p>The author examines the power dynamics within the General Social Services department of the Youth Welfare Office. He explores how power influences the actions of professionals working in General Social Services. The aim is to analyse how social workers are influenced in the performance of their professional duties. To answer this question, the author employs narrative interviews and grounded theory. The study draws on the sociological theories of Max Weber and Niklas Luhmann, among others, attempting to apply them to social work. This title is also available as Open Access.</p>
