Abstract
<p>Competence-oriented speech therapy training requires existing teaching and learning processes to be adapted to vocational training standards in order to meet changing professional requirements adequately. This work is the result of the practical implementation of curriculum theory and analyses of situations in speech therapy, combining proven principles of vocational and higher education. It provides teachers with a robust framework for identifying and adapting specific teaching methods from nursing education to speech therapy, evaluating their effectiveness in developing professional competence, and formulating practical solutions for redesigning the curriculum for higher education speech therapy training.</p>
