Abstract
<p> As the Cold War was drawing to a close, the concluding document of the CSCE's third Follow-Up Meeting was adopted in January 1989. For more than two years, 35 states had been negotiating in Vienna. Through the recollections of contemporary witnesses, this volume provides new insights into this historical event. A total of 15 interviews were conducted with former delegation members, journalists and human rights activists. This collection of oral-history sources was created as part of research for four dissertations on the Vienna Follow-up Meeting and is being made accessible to a wider circle of researchers and other interested parties. With contributions by Feliks Bister | Andrea Brait | Franz Ceska | Nils Eliasson | Björn Elmér | Michael Gehler | Kai Habel | Nina Hechenblaikner | Peter Jankowitsch | Jonas Kaiser | Stefan Lehne | Hester Minnema | Hans-Christian Reichel | Markku Reimaa | Willi Schrenk | Douglas Selvage | Jana Starek | Gérard Stoudmann | Walter Süß | Hans-Heinrich Wrede </p>
