Jean Guillous frühe Orgelwerke

<p>The study provides a solid foundation for understanding the early organ works of Jean Guillou and enables a more in-depth contextualization of his musical language and aesthetic concepts. By combining biographical, organological, and analytical perspectives, key aspects of his output up to and including Opus 9 are examined and situated within the music-historical context of the twentieth century. Detailed analyses of structure, harmony, and sound conception are complemented by considerations of organ ideals and cultural environment. The study is aimed at musicologists, organists, and readers interested in twentieth-century organ music. The author is a church musician and musicologist.</p>
