Abstract

This handbook is designed for the Physical Chemistry 1 module within the Bachelor’s degree program in Chemical Engineering. It presents a comprehensive set of laboratory experiments covering key topics such as the states of matter, solutions and solubility, phase equilibria, thermodynamic principles, and chemical equilibrium. Each experiment includes a structured theoretical overview, detailed procedures, and guidance for data analysis and conclusion formulation. The handbook aims to foster students’ research competencies, promote critical thinking through the comparison of theoretical and experimental data, and develop skills in scientific reporting. A dedicated section outlines the general requirements for laboratory work reports, offering clear instructions on data presentation, including equations, graphs, and report formatting. By completing the laboratory tasks, students will gain practical skills in applying thermodynamic laws, analyzing multicomponent systems, and evaluating chemical equilibria using experimental results and calculation methods.
