Abstract
<jats:p>A collection of memoirs and documentary materials dedicated to Alexander Khatisyan, published thanks to the hard work of Professor Vl. Harutyunyan, complements the scientific, literary and memoir heritage of a major Armenian statesman and diplomat. It is of particular interest to study the detailed description of the 10-year period when Al. Khatisyan served as mayor of Tiflis is, during which he constantly interacted with high-ranking government and military figures of Tsarist Russia and actively participated in the political processes of the Caucasus region.</jats:p>
