Abstract

<jats:p>The aim of this study was to identify the most typical manifestations of secondary liver dysfunction in different categories of critically ill patients. The study included 200 patients with various pathologies, who were in critical condition and received treatment in the intensive care unit of University Hospital “Heratsi № 1”. According to the dominant pathology, patients were divided into five groups. The results of our study showed that approximately 50% of critically ill patients exhibited signs of liver dysfunction. However, depending on the underlying pathology, not all manifestations of liver dysfunction occurred with the same frequency or at the same stages of hospitalization.</jats:p>
