Abstract
<jats:p>This work integrates the objectives of the study entitled Narratives of Belonging: Ecocriticism and the (Up)rooting of International Migrants' Memories, conducted within the Programa de Pós-Graduação em Estudos de Linguagens da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (PPGEL/UFMS), in the concentration area of Literatura, Estudos Comparados e Interartes. The primary relevance of this work lies in the contributions of the migrant authors and in the extent to which their memories prove to be fundamental for political decision-making in response to migratory flows. This encompasses the challenges related to the reception and the development of legal mechanisms that better support and protect international migrants in our country.
