Abstract

The article will present events organized by museums: traditional holidays and some ele- ments of rituals (weddings); non-traditional events (oath ceremony, awarding diplomas), etc., which have become an effective way to intensify the activities of museums, as well as cultural museum-reservations with open space areas. Nowadays, the possibility of spreading tangible and intangible heritage through museum collections has expanded in museums and other platforms. Museums become active par- ticipants in mass events taking place in the public space of a city or community. The ar- ticle will present them as examples of various festivals held in the towns and communities of Armenia. Both traditional and transformed elements of culture are presented at the festivals: em- broidery, carpets, copper, pottery, etc., which reflect the continuity of cultural elements and the process of passing skills from generation to generation. The participation of the museums ensures the professional interpretation of the presented heritage and the imple- mented event, based on scientifically proven concepts and scenarios. The passive and active popularization of national tangible and intangible culture contrib- utes to the correct national orientation of youth and the formation of identity based on national values. The festival creates a "temporary eco-museum," primarily if held in the community. It is the best way to attract the attention of interested companies and public and private institutions to cultural heritage preservation issues.
