A Glimpse into Liturgical Theology

<jats:p>What is the liturgy, and what does it reveal about the God who acts within it? This volume approaches Christian worship not as a mere external rite or practical discipline but as a multidimensional theological reality: a living encounter between the God who seeks man and the man who is capable of receiving Him. Drawing on the history of religions, philosophy, sociology, and systematic theology, the author explores the liturgy as a cultic site, a communication event, a participation in divine life, a sanctification of God’s name, and an anticipation of creation’s eschatological fulfilment. In conscious dialogue with the challenges of postmodern culture, the book rehabilitates the often-neglected concepts of cult, the sacred, and symbolic mediation, while insisting on the theocentric character of worship.
