Abstract

<jats:p>Friends and Photographs: Two Americans and One Camera in the Middle East explores the photographic journeys of Loy H. Witherspoon and William C. Pfischner in the mid-1950s. The volume includes memoirs and essays on Witherspoon and Pfischner, in addition to a selection of photographs taken in North Africa, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Palestine, Syria, and Turkey.</jats:p>
