Abstract
This volume presents the life, scientific achievements, and personal reflections of Professor Michal Fečkan, one of the most influential contemporary Slovak mathematicians. As part of the Personalities of Slovak Mathematics series, the publication combines a biographical overview, an account of Professor Fečkan’s academic and research career, personal recollections, and an interview exploring his views on mathematics, education, scientific work, and society. The book documents his contributions to nonlinear analysis, dynamical systems, differential equations, and applied mathematics, while also highlighting the human dimension of a distinguished scientific career. By preserving authentic testimonies and professional experiences, the publication aims to inspire future generations of mathematicians, researchers, and students and to contribute to the documentation of the history of Slovak mathematics.
