<jats:p>This article addresses the insights of Yu. Suvaryan and M. Manucharyan on the relationship between the quality and efficiency of economic growth. It presents an analysis of the theoretical and applied issues underlying this interrelationship, with particular emphasis on the socio-economic development of the Republic of Armenia. The distinction between economic growth and economic development is examined, highlighting that quantitative growth alone does not ensure sustainable development or improvements in social welfare.</jats:p>
