Abstract
The article examines the mechanism for forming a sustainable development strategy in industrial enterprises under conditions of global competition, resource constraints, environmental pressure, and technological transformation. It is argued that sustainable development should be viewed as an integrated framework combining economic efficiency, technological modernization, resource productivity, environmental responsibility, and institutional adaptability. The study analyzes key stages of the mechanism, including diagnostic assessment, strategic prioritization, selection of implementation tools, cross-functional coordination, performance indicators, and continuous monitoring. Results show that effectiveness depends on integrating energy efficiency, cleaner production, digital monitoring, risk management, and cooperation. It is concluded that the strategy formation mechanism should be adaptive, measurable, and based on both internal enterprise capabilities and the industrial ecosystem, enhancing long-term competitiveness and resilience.
