Abstract
<jats:p>This article examines the practical application of digital design software in light industry enterprises and its impact on the production process. The use of digital technologies during the design, engineering, modelling and production planning stages helps to speed up production, optimise material usage and improve product quality. The introduction of CAD/CAM systems reduces the number of errors caused by human factors; the capabilities of automated cutting and grading improve economic efficiency.</jats:p>
