Abstract
<jats:p>It is known that tourism, in addition to being the most promising and profitable sector at the moment, also makes a significant contribution to the growth of jobs in the service sector and the diversification of the regional economy. Thus, the growing importance of tourism over time also tightens the requirements placed on tourism businesses. As a result of improving service quality and the growth of tourism businesses, it also creates competition. Meeting customer needs, maintaining service levels and a customer-oriented approach are considered important competitive advantages. Although the topic is broad, the article provides general information and gives special attention to a number of important points, and necessary issues are taken into account.</jats:p>
