Abstract
The analysis of female characters of the heroic epic "Sasna Tsrer" revealed that there are ten female images in the epic, which are divided into two main groups from the pers-pective of relation to the heroes of the epic: relatives and aliens. Moreover, the dearest is the character of the foremother Tsovinar. These images have ancient mythical roots, figur-ative parallels or traces of many of them are observed in the epics of various peoples. These images thicken or typify the actions of male heroes, prevent or exacerbate conflict clashes, and receive a decisive role in the development of the events of the epic. Female images in the epic are created by powerful epic-artistic poetry, ideal representations of folk poetic thinking and, undoubtedly, with heroic accents.
