Abstract

This volume brings together the diversity and depth of contemporary scholarship on sustainable economy and finance, contributing to the evolving body of knowledge in the field. Written by researchers from different disciplines, it combines methodological variety, solid theoretical frameworks and rich empirical evidence. In doing so, it moves beyond purely conceptual debates to offer practice-oriented policy recommendations and to open up new avenues for research. The chapters demonstrate how multidimensional sustainability becomes when viewed through the lenses of economics and finance. From the impact of climate change on agricultural production to the links between green innovation and financial performance; from the opportunities created by digital financial inclusion to the ethic-based perspectives of Islamic economics; from global forecasting models of international institutions to the new responsibilities facing central banks, a wide range of themes are brought together in this book. This diversity underlines that sustainability is not only an environmental or financial issue, but also a social, institutional and ethical one.”
