<jats:p>The article examines the use of the noun праз for the realia “ram” and “he-goat” in the Eastern and Southern Rhodope dialects. It presents the specific patterns of usage of the term within the described dialect area. Data on its distribution in other South Slavic and East Slavic dialects are also provided. Unfortunately, information from the Eastern and Southern Rhodope dialects is not included in the maps of the Pan-Slavic Linguistic Atlas.</jats:p>
